Explore the natural healing power of plants on our mind, body and spirit.

We do not profess to know everything about plants and its beautiful uses. Every step is a learning process. However, what we have learnt from our personal encounters and readings, we summarise it here, in hope that it inspires you to appreciate the gifts nature has bestowed on us (ps: watch this space for updates as we add more herbs to the list!).

Cinnamon

  • High in antioxidants, helps relieve inflammation

  • Reputed for its antimicrobial qualities

  • Adding cinnamon to food high in carbs will help lessen the rise in blood sugar levels after the (heavy) meal. 

  • Its scent helps to boosts brain activity

  • Helps to balance the sacral chakra, located below our navel. The sacral chakra relates to our creativity and sensuality

Hawthorn fruit

  • Helps alleviate anxiety and tightness in the chest

  • Relieves restlessness, stress, tension

  • Helps to activate and balance the heart chakra, which is the center for love, compassion and forgiveness. Blockage in the heart chakra often leads to difficulty in self love, lack of compassionate love or sympathy, generally giving rise to anger, jealousy, hatred, loneliness, distrust of others

  • Hawthorn berries help to heal all matters related to your heart, allowing you to invite love into your life, to follow your heart and trust the flow of love

Osmanthus

  • Clears toxin from the body

  • Relieves dampness and cold

  • Helps with menstrual cramps

  • Improves skin health and texture

  • Suitable for drinking day or night

  • Found in Radiance Tea

Goji berry

  • A mood enhancer that keeps energy levels up

  • Supports the immune and liver functions

  • Rich in antioxidants

  • Great for eyesight and skin health

Rosemary

  • One of my favourite herbs, rosemary helps with the solar plexus chakra, which is the center of our emotions and self control

  • Blockage in the solar plexus typically results in low self esteem, depression, anxiety, mistrust of others, addiction

  • Helps with emotional and digestive health

Lavender

  • Lavender is well reputed to relieve insomnia, depression and anxiety

  • Lavender helps to reduce inflammation 

  • Helps align with the crown chakra, which helps keep you connected to the Universe and your infinite power

  • Lavender is also helpful to use in healing the third eye chakra, which is closely connected to your intuition [useful to note that likely symptoms of a blocked third eye chakra are insomnia, nightmares and migraines]

Peppermint

  • Helps aid digestion & known to relieve Irritable Bowel Syndrome

  • Widely used for its therapeutic properties to ease gastrointestinal disorders

  • Aids in weight loss

  • Beneficial in healing any imbalances of the solar plexus chakra

Dandelion

  • Typically used to support digestion and to promote bowel movements

  • Aids detoxification and to promote healthy skin

  • A natural diuretic, helps prevent constipation or gastrointestinal problems

  • Helps the liver function at its optimum 

  • Helps to decrease inflammation

  • Helps to ground your root chakra, aids in keeping you focused on the present moment and connected to the earth

Burdock root

  • Helps to stimulate bile production, thus supporting the digestive system and elimination of toxins

  • Helps to purify the blood through the removal of toxins

  • Supports skin health

  • Strengthens the lymphatic system

  • Helps promote hair growth and beautiful, healthy locks

Astralagus

  • Also known as Huang Qi

  • An adaptogen that helps to protect the physique against physical, mental and emotional stress

  • Known to have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties

  • Reputed to promote longevity & anti-ageing qualities

  • Found in our Radiance Tea

Ganoderma lucidum

  • Also known as lingzhi mushroom or reishi mushroom

  • Has antioxidant and anti-ageing properties; eliminates free radicals

  • Supports the immune and defensive system

  • Helps to fight fatigue

  • Known to alleviate anxiety and depression

  • Helps keep the heart chakra in balance, and nourishes the spirit. The heart chakra is closely linked to our intuition and internal guiding system with the Universe

Schisandra chinensis

  • Schisandra chinensis fruit is also known as the five-flavored berry for its salty, sweet, sour, bitter and pungent taste

  •  It is known to be an anti-ageing herb that slows down the aging process, increases endurance and stamina 

  • A powerful adaptogen that protects the system from mental, physical and emotional stress

  • Proven to enhance concentration and mental alertness

Gynostemma pentaphyllum

  • ​Also known as Southern Ginseng or jiaogulan

  • Reputed for its adaptogen and antioxidant properties that help to protect cells from oxidative damage over time

  • Known for its energizing properties  and to combat fatigue
